David Beckham: Sunday Soccer with the Boys!

Most people turn 60 with a quiet party among friends or maybe a surprise bash put together on the DL by their spouses that features a hilarious slideshow or funny video. Not Sting. The former Police frontman and solo star plugged in and played with everyone from Lady Gaga to Mary J. Blige and Bruce Springsteen in celebration of his 60th birthday on Saturday night at the Beacon Theater in New York.
The event, a charity fundraiser for the anti-poverty group the Robin Hood Foundation, included Gaga on piano banging out a jazzy cover of the Police's "King of Pain," giving the sedate ballad the same kind of electric energy she brings to her own key-thumper "You and I," according to Rolling Stone. She traded lines with Sting on a stage packed with up to 20 musicians, including a string section and backup singers, who helped the eternally youthful singer work his way though his 30-plus-year catalog of hits.
Among the other highlights: Stevie Wonder doing a duet with Sting on "Fragile," will.i.am throwing a freestyle rap and bits of the BEP's "I Gotta Feelin' " into the Police's "Walking on the Moon," Billy Joel marking a rare return to the stage for renditions of "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" and "Don't Stand So Close to Me," Rufus Wainwright singing "Wrapped Around Your Finger," and Sting teaming up with his son Joe for a moving rendition of the tune Sting wrote about his own relationship with his pops, "Why Should I Cry For You?"
One of the highlights of the evening was the mini-set with Springsteen, who waltzed out with his guitar to sing the sedate death-row ballad "I Hung My Head," which featured a raucous guitar solo. He also performed a solo version of "Fields of Gold" on 12-string guitar and harmonica, with one verse sung a cappella. Sting came out to sing "Can't Stand Losing You" with the Boss, with the two men leaning in to each other and howling the lyrics into the same microphone.
The night ended with the party's guests trading lines on "Every Breath You Take," with Gaga nodding to her piano icon, Joel, while singing the line "Can't you see/ You're the one for me." Sting closed out the show with a solo acoustic version of "Message in a Bottle," which was followed by wife Trudie Styler surprising him with a dozen bagpipers and a confetti drop that got the one-named rock icon misty. "Thank you a million times," he told the crowd as he and the missus danced together onstage.

Justin Bieber is set to drop his first Christmas single, "Mistletoe," on October 18. And while fans are pretty psyched to hear it, they also want to know the names of every person who made the final cut on the album, Under the Mistletoe.
Bieber confirmed that the Band Perry, Busta Rhymes, Boyz II Men and Usher are all contributing to the album, and teased that a huge surprise guest will also appear on the album. The rumor is that the big reveal will be Mariah Carey.
Bieber's producer Tricky Stewart said he has no idea who made the final cut. "I don't know who's featured on the records," he told MTV News. "The records, as I know the records ... Justin is the artist on the records. I know that he's planning on doing things, but I have no idea what they are."
As Bieber puts the finishing touches on the album, which drops November 1, any additional production falls on Stewart's production partner, Kuk Harrell, as Stewart moves on to other projects. "[I wouldn't have to go back into the studio] because that's Kuk Harrell's neck of the woods," Stewart said. "If something needs to be added, he'll go in and knock it out and it'll be fine."
Stewart noted that the album "seemed like a natural progression" for the teen star. "I think it just kind of made sense that I would be involved," he said, having worked with Bieber throughout his professional career. "I think Justin doing a Christmas album is right on time ... I feel that it's almost necessary that he do a great Christmas album and it's really, really good, too."
To get into the Christmas spirit months in advance of the holiday season, the team decorated their studio with all the appropriate Christmas accoutrements like Christmas trees and holiday scents. "Well, it's different in the sense that we've been having Christmas and it's not Christmas," he said. "It looks and feels like Christmas except when we come out there's no Christmas. You have to [imagine]. How else can you have Christmas in the middle of September?"

Lady Gaga's Mugler Fashion Film 'Director's Cut' Debuts
Highly stylized short film features the Mother Monster proclaiming 'Don't f--- with me.'

Last week, Lady Gaga invaded Paris to unveil her latest collaboration with Thierry Mugler designer Nicola Formichetti, a fashion film that featured her sporting three heads (and diamond-encrusted teeth) and spouting lines like "My heart sometimes feels so black ... and other days, my heart feels like rainbows."
Yeah, it was very Mugatu. But now, for those not lucky enough to catch the film's premiere at Mugler's Paris Fashion Week show, Gaga has premiered the "director's cut," which clocks in at just over three minutes (plus credits).
In the film — directed by frequent partners Inez and Vinoodh, who have worked with Gaga on each of her "Yoü and I" fashion films — the Mother Monster tosses around her towering, multi-hued pigtails, dropping lines like "I am Mugler woman, don't f--- with me ... Do not anger Mugler woman, she will eat you." DJ White Shadow's remix of the Born This Way bonus track "Black Jesus/Amen Fashion" plays underneath it all.
The "director's cut" of the film differs slightly from the version that played at the Mugler show last week, which featured shots of Gaga intercut with footage of models walking the runway.
Of course, Gaga and Mugler have collaborated before. Aside from the fact that Formichetti serves as Gaga's fashion director, he's previously debuted some of her music at his shows. In January, fashionistas got their first listen to the Born This Way track "Schieße" at a Mugler show. In March, Gaga not only made her catwalk debut at a Mugler show, but also premiered the BTW track "Government Hooker" too.

Lady Gaga Honors Jamey Rodemeyer At iHeartRadio Festival

Just days after once again speaking out against bullying, Lady Gaga dedicated a moving version of "Hair" to teen Jamey Rodemeyer at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas on Saturday. The gay teen committed suicide last week after enduring years of bullying by his school peers, inspiring Gaga to tweet that she was going to meet with President Obama to encourage him to pass legislation outlawing bullying.
Following up on her promise, Gaga attended an Obama fundraiser in Los Angeles over the weekend, where a source told MTV News last week that she was expected to bring up the topic if the two were able to get a moment together. According to The Associated Press, Gaga was among the guests at an intimate Sunday night gathering at the home of Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg, wearing a sleeveless gown and high heels. A spokesperson for Gaga had not returned requests for comment at press time inquiring about whether the meeting of the minds had taken place.
The two-night iHeartRadio festival unfolded at the MGM Grand in Vegas and featured sets from Jay-Z, the Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez and Usher.

"We lost a Little Monster this week," Gaga said of the 14-year-old Rodemeyer during the show, as a picture of the teen was shown on a screen onstage. "I wrote this record about how your identity is really all you've got when you're in school ... so tonight, Jamey, I know you're up there looking at us, and you're not a victim ... you're a lesson to all of us. I know it's a bit of a downer, but sometimes the right thing is more important than the music."
The Amherst Police Department has opened a criminal investigation into Rodemeyer's death and is considering harassment, cyberharassment and hate crimes charges against a number of teens who may have been involved in bullying Jamey.

Johnny Depp Issues Apology for ?Rape? Comments

And in his recent interview with Vanity Fair, the ?Pirates of the Caribbean? actor likens being photographed to sexual assault.

Tending to a busy schedule of publicity appearances, Julianne Hough was spotted out for the filming of an interview for "Extra" at The Grove in Los Angeles this afternoon (October 4).
The former "Dancing with the Stars" pro showed off her sexy curves for the segment, wearing a body-hugging black dress with a plunging neckline and a pair of gray heels.
The outing comes as the "Footloose" starlet has been gushing about the premiere night present her beau Ryan Seacrest gave her just moments before her big event.

Justin Bieber Drops 'How To Love' Acoustic Remix

First, it was Demi Lovato, and now, Justin Bieber is jumping on the Lil Wayne "How to Love" bandwagon. On Wednesday (September 28), the singer dropped his acoustic version of the ballad.
According to a tweet, from Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, Bieber, in addition to producing the track, played all the instruments on it as well. Braun also shared that there's more new music coming out from Bieber, tweeting, "He has some more remixes coming too. right @seankingston."

This week, Bieber heads to South America for a string of dates on the next leg of his My World Tour, and he had this message for all the Bieliebers out there: "U know what ... I LOVE MY FANS!! and yeah i know there r haterz but u cant stop us from living our dream. hard work and this team. #wegohard."
In related news, Bieber tweeted out the date "#nov1st," perhaps a hint as to when his highly anticipated Christmas album will drop. The album, which will feature confirmed track "Falalalala" with Boyz II Men, is also rumored to contain collaborations with Sean Kingston and Taylor Swift, as well as a super-secret collaboration with "1 of the most #Legendary performers ever," according to a tweet from Braun.
Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman said, "[Bieber] thought we'd be perfect for it. And we went in and locked in."

Hank Williams Jr.'s Son -- My Dad Should NOT Talk Politics

Hank Williams Jr.'s son -- Hank Williams III -- doesn't think his father should have opened his mouth about Obama yesterday ... telling TMZ most musicians are "not worthy" of a political discussion.
TMZ spoke with HW3 -- and punk rock-meets-country singer -- who tells us, "The only person out there worthy of mixing political views and music is Jello Biafra."
FYI -- Jello Biafra is the original lead singer of the legendary punk rock band Dead Kennedys ... who is now a big shot political figure in the Green Party.
As TMZ previously reported, Hank's dad's famous "Are You Ready for Some Football" jam was yanked from Monday Night Football last night ... after HW2 went on Fox News and proclaimed that President Obama and Joe Biden are "the enemy."
When we asked HW3 about his political views, he told us, "I'm a musician ... not a politician."

TV Pitchman Don Lapre -- Dead in Apparent Suicide

Don Lapre -- the self-proclaimed "King of Infomercials" -- was found dead in his Arizona jail cell early Sunday morning of an apparent suicide ... just days before he was set to go on trial for allegedly selling millions of dollars of bogus vitamins.
Lapre, who has been a fixture on early AM TV hocking various products, was facing 41 counts of conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud and promotional money laundering for selling a product called, "The Greatest Vitamin in the World."
The FDA begged to differ, concluding that Lapre was making wild claims about the vitamin that were simply unsupported by the evidence.
It's unclear how Lapre killed himself, but a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service says officials are investigating the situation.
Lapre had been accused of screwing roughly 220,000 people out of nearly $52 million in a national vitamin scam.
The 47-year-old shot to stardom with a scheme involving classified ads in newspapers.

It?s Been A Week Without All My Children?Sniff Sniff
It’s been a whole week since All My Children signed off last Friday, and let me tell you, I’m going through some major withdrawals. The list of nominees runs from Justin Bieber to Courtney Love, Britney Spears, Scissor Sisters, Katy Perry, Bjork, Nirvana, Dolly Parton and Snoop Dogg, and that can only mean one thing: It must be time for the O Music Awards again.
When MTV launched its first-annual digital music celebration earlier this year, we promised that it would be like no other awards show, with trophies handed out before, after and during the show, as well as throughout the year.
Sticking to that plan, the O Awards will return for a second round on October 31, with some of the new categories coming courtesy of user suggestions.
Among the five new user-generated categories are "Oops! I Did It Online," in which over-sharing celebs such as Sinead O'Connor and T-Pain will face off against the Game and Courtney Love; and Best Artist with a Cameraphone, which pits Demi Lovato against Bieber, Young the Giant, Katy Perry, the Deftones and Shiny Toy Guns. The other new categories include Best Web Born Artist (MNDR, Odd Future, the Weeknd), Best Vintage Viral Video (Metallica, Nirvana, Notorious B.I.G., O'Connor) and Best Lyrics Video (Perry, Joe Jonas, Lenny Kravitz, Christina Perri).
Among Gaga's two nominations are Fan Army FTW — in which she'll square off with the followers of Bieber, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Lovato, ICP, Adam Lambert and Tokio Hotel — and Must Follow Artist on Twitter, in which she faces Cher, Snoop Dogg, Blink-182's Mark Hoppus and Blake Shelton.
The O Music Awards will also honor a number of artists who are really good at this whole online thing, with Bjork, Chris Milk, Girl Talk and the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne vying for the Digital Genius Award.
The other categories include: Best Fan Cover, Hottest Music NILF (think about it), WTF I Love This Award (online craziness), the self-explanatory Too Much Ass for TV award, Most Outrageous Tweet and Best Music Forum. There are also awards coming for Most Innovative Festival, Best Music App, Best Music Hack, Beyond the Blog and Most Addictive Social Music Service, which includes such faves as Spotify, Turntable.fm and Rdio.
The first edition of the awards featured performances by Mumford & Sons, Foster the People, Lupe Fiasco, Matt & Kim and a world record freestyle by Chiddy Bang's Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege
The O Music Award's first-time winners included Gaga (Most Innovative Artist and Must Follow Artist on Twitter), Kanye West (Best Tweet), Tokio Hotel's Aliens (Fan Army FTW), Thirty Seconds to Mars (NSFW Music Video), Aquarium Drunkard (Best Independent Music Blog) and MJJ Fan Community (Best Fan Forum).
The O Music Awards 2 will unfold on Halloween on OMUsicAwards.com, as well as MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com, LogoTV.com and MTVHive.com. Fans can vote for their favorites at OMUsicAwards.com.

Some Glee Spoilers?Read At Your Own Risk!
Okay fellow Gleeks, some spoilers will be talked about in this post, so you have been warned. Again, I repeat, do not read on if you don’t want to know what will happen next on your favorite show and mine. Oh, my apologies for not recapping Tuesday’s episode, ‘I Am Unicorn’, the #$%#^ DVR went on the fritz. I finally was able to watch it yesterday On Demand and I am lovin’ how much the show is reminiscent of its first season, where we all fell in love with these kids from McKinley High. First of all, thank you Ryan Murphy for the Rachel and Kurt dynamic. I love the Hummelberry relationship. Remember last week’s scene where they’re both in her car feeling defeated about their dreams of making it big in New York? Simply genius. It was good for them to get a good dose of reality.
