Kate Winslet Dodges Raindrops On the "Labor Day" Set
Clinging to an over-stuffed black binder, Kate Winslet braved the rain as she stepped outside during a break from filming her latest project, "Labor Day", in Boston Massachusetts on Thursday (June 7).
Making her way across the street under the protection of a large umbrella, the "Titanic" actress hid her figure under a large purple skirt that she paired with a printed top and a white cardigan.
In the film, Kate plays a depressed single mom who offers a fearsome man a ride, and gradually learns he is an escaped convict as their options become increasingly limited.
Joined by Josh Brolin and James Van Der Beek, the film is set to hit theaters sometime in 2013.

High School Track Star Helps Injured Competitor Cross Finish Line
There's hope. Ohio high school junior Meghan Vogel instantly became the poster girl for sportsmanship and all around decency when, instead of stepping over an injured competitor on the track, she put the wounded young woman's arm around her shoulder and they crossed the finish line together.
In this Saturday, June 2, 2012 photo, Meghan Vogel of West Liberty-Salem, right, helps Arden McMath of Arlington to the finish line after McMath collapsed yards short in the DIII 3200 meter finals of the Ohio High School Athletic Association state track meet at Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus. Vogel had won an earlier race but was in last place in the 3,200-meter run as she caught up to McMath, whose body was giving out. Instead of zipping past McMath to avoid the last-place finish, Vogel put McMath's arm around her shoulders, dragged her the final 20 meters and pushed her competitor over the finish line before crossing it.

The sexy 24-year-old singer will be plastered on billboards, buses and subways in the fresh campaign, shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson.
“It’s a little more fun, we’re on a stage,” the Barbadian star said of the new campaign. “We get to shoot with Terry Richardson who’s an amazing photographer. Everybody knows his work.”
When discussing the refreshing beverage with Us Weekly she said, “I wasn't drinking enough water before, and I love coconut water. It hydrates me just as much as regular water so it really started to affect my diet and the way my body was shaping up.”

Olympic Gymnast Shawn Johnson's Knee Injury Forces Her To Retire
She had hoped to compete in this year's Olympics in London, but her knee would not cooperate.

Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson announced Sunday on her Facebook page that she is retiring from the sport owing to the knee injury she sustained in a skiing accident in 2010. The AP reports Johnson really did a number on that knee, tearing her ACL, MCL and meniscus, along with her hamstring.
"Unfortunately, it has become obvious that my left knee is not able to sustain the demands of gymnastics any longer. All I can do now is gracefully retire and thank everyone who has believed in me and my journey," Johnson said in the Facebook statement. The 20-year-old athlete and — and 2009 Dancing with the Stars champion — had been training to compete in this years Olympics in London.
"I am announcing this now so the focus for the next three weeks will be on the incredibly talented gymnasts who are trying to make our 2012 Olympic Team,” she continued. “I have had the honor to train and compete with them, and I am excited to join the gymnastics family and fans in cheering them on to victory. I will be there with every ounce of pride and energy to cheer on my girls and Team USA."
Johnson won four medals in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, including a gold for her balance beam routine, in which she landed pretty much perfectly throughout. Watch her awesome beam skills here:
Johnson will start college in the fall of 2013. She's choosing between Stanford and Vanderbilt.

Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan's 2012 MTV Movie Awards Arrival
Joining in on the red carpet extravaganza, Channing Tatum was among the many stars in attendance for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, CA on Sunday evening (June 3).
Up for multiple golden popcorn trophies, the "21 Jump Street" stud was joined by his lovely lady Jenna Dewan at the Gibson Amphitheatre venue.
As for his nominations, Channing is in the running for Best Cast along with Jonah Hill, Ice Cube, Dave Franco, Ellie Kemper and Brie Larson for their work in "21 Jump Street".
He's also competing for Best Fight for his rumble with Jonah Hill and Kid Gang and Best Kiss for his smooch with Rachel McAdams in "The Vow".
Sure to be quite the action-packed night, this year's MTV Movie Awards are being hosted by British funnyman Russell Brand while Emma Stone is to receive the first annual Trailblazer Award and Johnny Depp will be honored with the MTV Generation Award for over four decades worth of movie magic.
The show will also feature performances by The Black Keys, fun. and Wiz Khalifa while footage from the forthcoming films "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" will be unveiled during the course of the ceremony.

No Doubt Lawsuit Against Activision to Go to Trial
Back in 2009, No Doubt filed suit against video game maker Activision for misusing their likenesses in Band Hero, and we now have news that the case will go to trial.
Gwen Stefani and Co. said that a few of the game’s possible manipulations — including the ability to have Gwen’s avatar sing with a male voice and her bandmates to sing with female voices — violated their publicity rights and transformed them into “a virtual karaoke circus act.”
